Yemenia

Yemenia, known as the “Mother of Yemen,” is a unique Arabica lineage found only in Yemen. It was identified by Qima Coffee in collaboration with a scientific research team during a genetic study spanning 25,000 square kilometers. Still native to the Yemeni highlands, it is considered one of the rarest and most promising Arabica gene pools. Yemen’s arid climate, limited rainfall, and extreme day-to-night temperature variations have shaped a distinct terroir and resilient local varietals. The discovery of Yemenia opens a new chapter in Arabica’s genetic diversity and flavor exploration.
